"Light Parade of Memories" 2017

​​The Granite Town Wild Blueberry Festival 2013 launched a time to be  set aside at the end of the Granite Town Wild Blueberry Festival every year to have a " Light Parade of Memories". Although each of us is unique in background and situation, we can unite in one heart and friendship through the  various "Parade of Lights".  We continue each year with this event.

​We begin by saying Thank You to with a tribute to our dedicated local first responders, "Our Heroes", who so willingly give of themselves in every situation recognizing they are often first on the scene and sometimes the last ​ hand held.  We honour "Our Hometown Heroes".

"Sunset Memories - Floating Lanterns" at 8:27 PM
​This memorial provides an opportunity for people and the community to come together and participate in a time of celebration , remembrance, and reflections.  It is a time to light a lantern in remembrance and honour of those who have gone on before. The lanterns will be set afloat into the river at sunset.
