Another year has gone by in
St. George, NB and the Charlotte Coastal Region
Looking forward to the
Granite Town Wild Blueberry Festival 2017
August 17th to 20th
St. George - The Heart of Wild Blueberries, Salmon, and Seafood!
The Granite Town Wild Blueberry Festival celebrates St. George as the “Home of the Big Blueberry.”
St. George, NB is the place where the Magaguadavic River meets the Bay of Fundy. Over the years, where the old meets the new, the culture and livelihood has evolved from granite, to shipbuilding, to lumbering, to where now it is the heart of wild blueberries, salmon and seafood.
The 2017 week-end, festival will highlight the local: wild blueberries, salmon, lobster and chocolate, music, art, customer appreciation, farmers market, Community Church Service, fundraising events for a “Cause” - ScotiaBank yard sale, Boyd Family Memorial Walk, Blueberry Pie Contest, Soap Box Derby and ending the festival with a parade of memories, light a candle in the River for a loved one, a Ceremony honouring Our Heros the First Responders, and end the day with a lobster roll and a slice of a winning blueberry pie.
